Book Lover's Holiday Hop Dec 2 - 6





The Book Lover's Holiday Giveaway Hop will run from Dec. 2nd to 6th.
Thanks to Alyson from Kid Lit Frenzy for co-hosting. A special thanks to I am a Reader, Not a Writer for hosting yet another fabulous hop!


There are over 200 entries - so work fast this weekend and enter as many as you can. I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a delightful New Year.


It is super easy to enter and up for grabs is a copy of the 30th Anniversary Edition of Where the Sidewalk Ends and a $10.00 gift card to Books A Million. It is by far one of the best children's poetry books around.

    Thanks for the giveaway. I cant remember the name of the poet but my favorite poem since i was a little girl started out... I have a little shadow that goes in and out with me and what can be the use of him is more than I can see..... I wish I could remember but it is 1230 in the night!

    I absolutely love Shel Silverstein. This is the first poetry book I ever bought my kids. It is so worn out and damaged we had to put it in the recyle bin. I would love to win this copy. My favorite poet is Maya Angelou.

    Well you actually are giving away a copy of the book of my favorite poet. Shel Silverstein was a huge part of my childhood. My copy of this book was in tatters by time I became a teenager. I am actually ashamed that I don't own this one. I own most of his other books, but for some reason not this one, which is of course his best.

    Edgar Allan Poe will always be my consummate favorite poet but I also like Robert Frost and adore Lewis Carroll’s The Hunting of the Snark and Jabberwocky.

    I don't really like poems but I did grow up listening to my aunt read me Shel Silverstein so I guess I would have to say that is my favorite. I remember asking her to reread the books to me all the time.
