Howdy folks, it's me, the random blogger. I finally released Enlightened. Oh, what a horrible writing experience that book was. I dreaded saying anything while I was writing it, but I was suffering from a horrible case of writer's block. I knew how I want the trilogy to end...and I even knew how I wanted Enlightened to end....it was all the stuff in the middle that left me crazy.
Shortly after I started writing the book, my dad died. A couple of weeks after my dad's death, my son graduated high school. Within the same week, he announced his girlfriend is having a baby...his baby. Talk about a summer of insanity. I moved a pregnant teen into my house and crossed my fingers that God would show me what to do next. He didn't show me to write a book...nope. I wrote every single day... I deleted as much as I wrote. I originally had a deadline of August 30, I'm still laughing over my first missed deadline. One week before releasing the book, I deleted 14,000 words - the ending of the book. Ouch. I promised the fans it would be out on October 10, 2012...and I'd be damned if I didn't make it. I swear I was up until 7 in the morning for a week, writing...deleting...writing....crying....cussing Not always in that order.
It's been a week since the book was released, and I've been sitting here biting my nails waiting for reviews. I knew the twist at the end would be unexpected.... I worked so hard to make sure it flowed with the right amount of mystery. I think I made the right call, and gave Caleb and Jessie a tale like no other.

Dear Journal,
Mylandra spent the night in my hotel room with me. I have a headache from that sage thingy she keeps burning “to chase away da evil in da room”. I think there must be at least a hundred candles burning right now. If the sprinklers go off in the hotel it will be her fault, just sayin’. Even though she is freaky and scares me a little, she is growing on me. I don’t know what hold Pascale has on her, but it has something to do with a binding curse she flubbed.
Oh goody, it’s song time. She is walking around the room with that damn sage wad that smells like pot and singing a Jamaican song. Probably some hoo doo mixed in. Gotta go, the songstress says I must sit still and meditate. Whatevs! TTYS J

Malevolence - Legacy Series Book Two OUT TODAY!!
Hi to all of my Kindle owners! The second book in The Legacy of Kilkenny series Malevolence, released today. It had to go a week early due to a serious illness in the family. I'll be traveling to Texas for the next 4-6 weeks. I intend to have it available on Nook for all of my Nook friends in the next couple of days. I hope you love it

Your Inner Halloween Freak Giveaway
That's me! I love me some Halloween - it gives me the chance to wear black and spider earrings.... oh and my skeleton jewelry... I can wear my necklace that says Good Witch.. I get to do all of that and not be considered a freak. Don't get me wrong... I love a good freak (get your mind out of the gutter) - I just like it more when people actually appreciate my dark side. People will come up and say things like "Oh, I just love your sparkly spider earrings, where ever did you buy those" if I wear the same earrings in June people walk by and whisper "look at that freak"... seriously. I'm more of a glam spooky lover - you know, stuff that sparkles and stuff that is gothic.
